These 10 hens were from our first rescue. We decided we would love to give some of them a home with our other hens. Within the first day of being rescued they were very tame.
It is so much fun to have them all charge up to you when you walk into their garden. Feeding time is so amusing as you try to feed them from a bucket whilst they try to climb inside it to help themselves as we don’t seem to feed them fast enough!
These hens are an absolute pleasure to care for.

He was brought to us in September 2008. He had been dumped on the bog.
Some people who find that their goats have given birth to male kids, find these of no value so they take them to the bog and just leave them to fend for themselves!
We wasn’t sure if he would get on with our 2 Billies, but they were fine within a couple of days. They now all snuggle together when they go to sleep.
He is absolutely adorable and loves to be stroked and cuddled too!

Born in February 2008. We gave Vince a home along with Howard because we knew they would be destined to be used in the meat trade as no-one wants Billy goats.
He was incredibly timid when we brought him home. Now he is so funny and loves nothing more than leaping about.
He adores being hugged and if you try to show affection to the other 2 goats, he slithers between so you have to cuddle him instead!

Born in March 2008. We gave Howard a home with Vince.
They are very close and cuddle together on an evening or when they go into their shed for a nap during the day.
Howard loves to sit on our knee when we are having a rest on the garden bench. This wasn’t too bad when he was a kid but now it is really uncomfortable but he still insists on lying across our laps!

She is 6 years old. Approx 11 hands.
She is very cheeky and loves to gallop around the field when she is supposed to be having her head collar put on!
She is prone to laminitis so we need to keep a close check on her diet.
